Semiconductor Process

Phase 1

Raw material

Polysilicon Nuggets Purified from Sand.
Main suppliers are China/Brasil/Russia / Norway/USA

Phase 2

Silicon Crystal (Ingot)

Polysilicon nuggets are converted into Silicon Crystals

Phase 3

Blank Wafers

Silicon crystals are thinly sliced in blank wafers

Phase 4

Patterned/Finished Wafers

After 20-30 process steps the blank wafer is manufactured into a finished wafer

Phase 5

Individual dies

Finished wafers are diced into individual

Phase 6

Packaged Semiconductors

Individual SC’s are packaged to ship to dies which are rigorously tested customers
